A classic piece of 60’s bubble-gum pop “1, 2, 3 Red Light” was released by the 1910 Fruit Gum Company in June of 1968. It was certified gold by the RIAA on September 20, 1968 and became their second of three certified singles.

Here it is celebrated with the correct format of RIAA awards from 1964-1975, the “white matte”.This white matte has an original Bainbridge board (notice the thick yellow edge of the matte), and the gold disc (gold plated nickle stamper) is actually the song on the label (notice the same #5109 at top of trail off and on the label).

Cecil Holmes was the Co-founder of Casablanca Records.

The back has been opened for some reason, and resealed without the benefit of backing paper or hanging. ___________________________

To evaluate the authenticness and condition of any award it’s best to hold it in your hands, if that is not possible, photos of the front, plate and back are most useful.
