Prince & The Revolution “Parade” Japanese Platinum LP Record Award

Prince‘s album “Parade” served as the soundtrack for his second film, Under the Cherry Moon.

Here celebrated as a Japanese platinum award, it was released in March of 1986 and certified gold and platinum in the US on June 6, 1986. It reached a peak Billboard Top 200 position of #3.

Steve Fargnoli was an artist manager and producer who was responsible for careers including Prince, Sinead O’Connor and Earth Wind & Fire.

Wood backing with clips holing it in, with no glass on the front, are correct for this period of Japanese award.

To evaluate the authenticness and condition of any award it’s best to hold it in your hands, if that is not possible, photos of the front, plate and back are most useful.
