Barbra Streisand “Funny Girl” 1968 RIAA Gold LP White Matte Record Award

“Funny Girl” the soundtrack, was Barbra Streisand’s movie debut in 1968, reprising her role in the stage version. Released in August, 1968, and certified gold by the RIAA on December 12, 1968, it reached a peak chart position of #12. This celebration is an Authentic, First Presentation, White Matte Award.

Industry veteran Jack Gold was a  CBS Records Artist and Repertoire executive and Record Producer.

As you can see by the same number, XSM 137021, on the label and the trail off at 12 0’clock, this award was made with actual LP stamper for the album. Not unheard of, but rare.

To evaluate the authenticness and condition of any award it’s best to hold it in your hands. If that’s not possible, photos of the full front, plate and back are most useful.
