Carole King “Tapestry” – 1971 #1 Album – Gold In-House (Disc Award Ltd.) Record Award

Singer songwriters ruled the early 70’s, and Carole King was one of the best. Her most celebrated and successful album, “Tapestry”, was released in March of 1971, certified gold by the RIAA on June 7, 1971, and reached #1 on charts around the world. If it were an RIAA celebration it would be a White Matte. Here it is celebrated with the classic In-House format — Disc Award Ltd.The presentation plate names participants in the great success. The record label — Ode Records, Ode executive — Marshall Blonstein, and the powerful Los Angeles pop radio station – KRLA.

The award is authentic, the back is unopened, and the company name and address is, as typical, rubber stamped on the back.
