Named after of the inventor of the machine drill for sowing seed, Jethro Tull was Ian Anderson. Anderson’s lyrics, singing and flute playing (not to mention his shaggy mane and full beard) led a changing band to fame and success in the late 60’s and beyond.

“A Passion Play” was a single-track concept album focusing lyrically on the afterlife.

Warner Brothers Records used its artist friendly approach and great distribution to build this album’s success. Chrysalis Records, was founded by famous English music entrepreneurs Chris Wright and Terry Ellis (Chris-Ellis).

All the right pieces.

Backing paper looks new.

Small pads were added on the bottom corners to facilitate wall display.
