Archie Bell & The Drells, was formed by Archie Bell, and they started soul-funk-tightening up in Houston in 1966. They were picked up by Atlantic Records, who released Tighten Up in January 1968, giving Archie & crew their only RIAA certification (May 22, 1968) and #1 single on Billboard. Hey now!
This is an Authentic, First Presentation, Third-State award. The backing paper and hanging have been changed from the original. It could be improved to a Second-State award with a wire hanging and New York Frame & Picture Co. sticker (and an inspection of internal components to assure they are original). I think currently a Second-State award has a more value than a Third-State. First-State Authentic awards are the most valuable.
