Most record awards, even the most valuable, have little intrinsic value. Value, to collectors, is bestowed by presentation and rarity. This award from the 1986 Diamond Awards Festival in Antwerp (the diamond capital of the world) is the exception.Small, perfectly cut, real diamonds are inserted around the disc, which size wise, is a bit larger than a 45.I expect the award is rare, but the presentation offers no inscription identifying who received this valuable celebration. The following ad, describing the festival as “the event of the year”, is the only information I could find. The uniqueness of the award is further demonstrated by the velvet and silk inner lining of the presentation box.
