A Comical Video Look At 1951 Record Store Dealers – And A Serious Look At How Records Were Made

This is a cute and interesting thirty minute video of the early (1950’s) record business.

The first twenty minutes is Mel Blanc, a famous voice actor and comedian, guiding us on a comical journey of how records were sold and recorded (cameos by Dean Martin and Les Paul and Mary Ford).

The last ten minutes is a detailed look at how records were made, including the stampers that were eventually used as the gold records in early record awards.

Thanks to Steve Galerkin for sharing this with us.
