The marks on the frame, are common on many original RIAA White Mattes, they come from the hanging hooks of other white mattes when they were stacked together against walls, or in storage. The back of this award shows the position of the hooks (and the original backing paper was opened on three sides to change a cracked front glass and then retaped).
