The Isley Brothers were a long-running influential group consisting of different line-ups of six brothers, and a brother-in-law.
In 1969 the Isley Brothers “It’s Your Thing” rose to #2 on Billboard’s Top 100 and became the first of many hits and gold records. In April of 1978 they released the album “Showdown” which went gold the same month on April 10, 1978, reaching a peak chart position of #4. This RIAA Floater Award was the correct presentation from 1975 to late 1980.
Bud O’Shea held many positions with Columbia/Epic Records and was the promotional manager of the year in 1972.
