The RIAA floater style gold record celebrated the success of music from the mid 70’s to early 80’s including this single “Slow Hand” by The Pointer Sisters.
Released in May of 1981 and certified gold on September 2nd of the same year, it reached a peak chart position of #2. Richard Perry produced it, along with two other Pointer Sisters top five hits (“Fire” and He’s So Shy”).

The authentic award has original backing paper, hanging, and the outline where the New York Frame & Picture sticker had been. (Does anyone know when the last NYF&P RIAA awards were made?)
