The best rock album ever?
The Who released “Who’s Next” in August of 1971. It was certified gold by the RIAA on 9/7/71 and reached a peak Billboard chart position of #4. This RIAA white matte is the correct first presentation format for the time period.
The best rock drummer ever?
“Keith was known for dramatic, suspenseful drumming—often eschewing basic back beats for a fluid, busy technique focused on fast, cascading rolls across the toms, ambidextrous double bass drum work and wild cymbal crashes and washes.” – Wikipedia
Thanks to Brad Rogers for this spotlight award.
Backing paper appears changed, but done in a way consistent with the original.

Hi Jim,
Was cruising your wonderful site again and must have missed this comment before. “Who’s Next” is indeed one of the greatest Rock LPs of all time and one of my all time faves. I can think of a couple the might equal it, but none that surpass it. Ditto for Keith.
Keep up the great work.
Best,
Kev
Kevin, Thanks for stopping by and adding your thoughts. So much great music, I wish we could honor it all (maybe we can).
