Blondie is an American new wave rock band, founded by singer Deborah Harry and guitarist Chris Stein. Blondie “Autoamerican” 1981 Gold RIAA LP Floater Record AwardAutoamerican is their  fifth studio album, released in November 1980 and reaching a peak chart position of #3 in the UK, #8 in Australia and #7 in the United States. It was certified gold by the RIAA on 1/26/81

The RIAA presentation format above is commonly called a “Floater” and is the appropriate first presentation format for this period (1975-1981). In the picture below you can see the shadows beneath the plate, mini and disc that make it look like they are floating above the matte, hence the nick name, floater.

Shep Gordon guided the careers of many artists including Alice Cooper.

Backing paper and hanging are original, and there is a shadow in the upper middle where the manufacturer sticker (New York Frame & Picture Co) has fallen off. __________________________________
